Re: The Enemy of My Enemy

I think the answer was C) They saw their boss commission a piece by someone that wanted to deploy the military to act indiscriminately against people on the streets where they were which would have put them in danger. If Bennet commissioned a piece by Richard Spencer saying, “Kill the Jews” after t...

Also it's a cocker spaniel and they're the worst. I mean not Jack Russel the worst or chihuahua the worst or dachshund the worst but pretty much right after those.

Re: It's not the size of the screen...

When I mentioned this to Jeff, he suggested we also have another word to describe a second memory category: you remember the theme song, at least one character, the overall premise AND a couple of isolated jokes or scenes ... but little else, and no full episode plots. This is where CHiPs exists fo...

But yeah C. Cooper needs to be able to choose whether to cooperate with prosecutors ever, because cooperating with prosecutors and/or cops is always fraught, because if they decide they don't like what you tell them they can start to make things nasty for you. Doubly so for a black man.

FWIW -- given that almost all of us are various shades of mayonnaise-American (plus a couple token mayo-Canadians and -Commonwealthers) -- apparently there's a big controversy about it on Twitter, with C. Cooper catching much flak for letting A. Cooper slide -- I personally am staying the fuck out ...

I will say it's crazy that despite the inbreeding, Queen Elizabeth at 94 is more coherent than either of the presidential nominees. QE II, good one. Didn't she make some sort of Stiff Upper Lip pandemic pep talk? Did she wear a mask? She did and it was well received. Why would she wear a mask, it w...

It's also a little hard to see people on the Right who still don't grasp how their actions helped to create the circumstances in which we find ourselves freaking out and not think "fuck it, you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind," at least a little bit. Of course I also just got told that getting...

At the Safeway grocery store the last couple of weeks, plenty of beef and pork available, but not a thing is on it’s normal club card ‘sale’.
Yeah, ground beef has been 1.5x its normal actual buy-with-card price, but a pretty good choice rib was $7.89/lb so my 4th of July involved good food.

I was at the store the other day, and they had a big sale on 2L Coke products - $0.79, so like '80s prices - and had clearly JUST restocked the shelves because there weren't any empty slots or even slots where the bottles had fallen over.
