He was trained in ballet and started off doing Billy Elliott in London. It explains why he can play Spider-Man so well. A dancer’s athleticism and body control are key to the role.

That explains Tumblr's favorite story, which is that when he was doing a readthrough for an audition the script said that Spiderman was supposed to backflip into the scene, so he did it, for the reading.

I'm more impressed by the first bit than the "Umbrella" bit in terms of dancing, though. (The "Umbrella" bit is definitely more spectacular and attention-grabby).

I love watching YouTube DIY videos. A large portion of these people are half-competent at best. No matter how bad you feel about your garage/workbench/space, some jackhole has one that looks a thousand times worse and is showing it to the world. Plus, random pet walkthroughs.

When I watch a DIY video I'm inevitably trying to learn how to do it myself. Fortunately there are a number of professional mechanics, contractors, etc. that have their own channel. But it does mean having to wade through tr0g's self-worth affirmation to find them.

So far I’ve been doing stuff specific enough that I’ve gotten more competent people in my searches.

Maybe it's different on ships, but that dude driving the fork truck with his forks 4' off the ground would've gotten reamed out in any warehouse I've even been in.

I've seen it. High speed driving would be my guess as the most common forklift safety offense. If management isn't dedicated to strict enforcement 100% of the time operators are going to test the limits of what they can get away with.

I don't quite get the story the commericial is trying to tell. Like, that was the easy part in the scheme of all the things you have to do to eventually restore that roro back to full service.

They seem to have a wide variety of services, if you look at their channel you can see them handle different levels of this kind of salvage /recovery, but each commercial on it's own is pretty focused. The long video on recovering a floating drydock is pretty in depth and interesting, it's how I found their channel.

The only problem I have with this video is that it is responding to the idea of objectivist criticsm without responding to any actual objectivist critics. Everything else is perfect.

Some kids of friends turned me on to these guys. I love the roasting they give this deserving douchenozzle:

The humor can drag at times (seriously guys, after the 20th exasperated facepalm exasperated face palming loses its effect) but there are some good moments in their critiques of how classical music is butchered in movies and tv.

This is a fun video of someone interpreting "Bohemian Rhapsody" in American Sign Language. The most interesting part is watching it with captions on (or reading the transcript of the captions in the video description). It has the gloss (the literal sign-for-sign translation) of each ASL phrase. I found it very interesting how different the grammar is from English!
