They should hire the production designer from Runaway.

I heard it all be about Picard stuck on Risa with a depowered (and aged) Q (played by Ian McKellen). They solve crimes together and drink at Riker's bar.

Outstanding. Please keep going. At least until we get a pilot script.

Yaphet Kotto guest stars as a tough but fair Admiral who turns to his "retired" colleagues for one last off-the-books job. Things get a bit hairy, but with the help of their old friend Miles O'Brien they're back in time for happy hour.

Jesus, that Nemesis movie was HORRIBLE. It might have made a fair-to-middling TNG episode if you trimmed it down an cut out some unnecessary subplots, but as a full-length movie -- blecch.

I see you've met Insurrection only without them straight up murdering a guy at the end. Well technically by leaving him on an exploding spaceship by beaming only Picard out and not Skaro or whatever he was called.

so uhhhh wut?

CBS All Access has set phasers to funny with the announcement today that they’ve given a two-season commitment to Star Trek: Lower Decks, an animated comedy from Emmy Award-winner Mike McMahan. The show, which will be produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment, will follow the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least-important ships. CBS Eye Animation Productions is CBS Television Studios’ new animation arm.
So I guy who's done some story editing and producing on one season of Rick and Morty is going to be setting our phasers to funny?

OK, that makes more sense. Still would've been better to get the guy who does Riker Googling, but that may be out of CBS All Access's price range.

That was from the episode where the crew hosted some of Dax's past Trill hosts.

There's a teaser up on Amazon Prime, shilling for CBS All Content, for Star Trek: Picard. Given' CBS's work on Star Trek: Discovery and The Twilight Zone, there's every reason to expect it to be choking on its own dick before the end of the first episode.

That's just what they said in DBs Red Letter Media YouTube a couple posts above.

Fortunately, CBS has no spine, which makes this entirely possible, because their dick is too small to get out of the bush.

I gave up on Star Trek: Discovery only a few episodes into the first season, and have paid no attention to further Trek offerings or reboots since. If they ARE going to do more stories, I wish they'd focus on sequels or next-gen stories, rather than prequel after prequel after prequel. (And if they are absolutely determined to do prequels in lieu of followups, then instead of "This Starfleet Captain: the Younger Years" and "That Other Starfleet Captain: In High School" and "First Childhood Friendship of A Given Bridge Officer on the Enterprise" and so on, I'd rather see stuff like "The Borg: How TF Did THEY Get Started?")
