I'm actually really bummed by this. Gillette is 65 and there isn't any more prominent sceptics out there. Not household names at least.

Re: Food
The wife has been in Maryland visiting her girlfriend so I've had the kitchen to myself. A lack of fish dishes so far but I did a bulgogi style ground beef that has seen me through two dinners and two breakfasts, one fried rice style and the other with barely cooked backyard eggs. I used fressh grat...

So, on lighter news, we are predicted to get between 7 and 11" of snow tonight. So far it's just rain and fingers crossed it remains that way as I am behind the curve this year getting the studded tire swapped on the vehicles.

Well, thanks to my mother's passing we are up one moar kitteh. That makes 4 indoors, 1 feral that we feed occasionally, 1 rabbit, 1 golden retriever and 12 chickens. So what I'm seeing is, if you don't know that you have been infected, pretend like you haven't and take personal precautions. Ergo, I'm wearing a mask until such time that I become infected and am no longer contagious. I'm also working from home (because I have that option) and minimizing my trips o...

I wrote an essay that I am happy with and think can do better than my no-traffic blog, but I don't think I can get it into a paying venue. For the trifecta and ban hammer: Covid sucks. Covid will kill a fair number of people, perhaps people I care for dearly (both of my parents are in their 80s). Even so, I feel the long term effects of this "lockdown" will hurt us as a populace more. This should be behind the veil but I strong enough ...

We really need a new shrugging emoji with Trumps face on it Trump conceded to CNN's Jim Acosta that there will not be mass coronavirus testing for all Americans when the country goes back to work. And in about 2 to 4 weeks it will pick up again. Waves big and small. As people get sick of cowering/cabin fever, head out and promptly get infected. This exact scenario played out in Denver in the 1918 pandemic. They had a double peak in deaths, one before and one after their social distancing pro...

Yeah, I don't care what Stone or anyone else says hops doesn't age. Everything else in it turns to that funky raisin aged flavor (which I dig) but hops just disappears.dead_elvis wrote: ↑29 Mar 2020, 16:13Guess the cork top leaked or breathed a little too much, it was on the flat side and all hop character was completely gone.

Or you could, you know, grow a pair and fix the damn thing yourself. :P That is a slippery slope. It starts with one Youtube video showing how to repair a common household appliance.
